Cathryn Hanger Namath is currently the sole principal of the Advisor. She serves as its President and CEO. Mrs. Namath is responsible for the formulation of the Advisor’s trading decisions and the Advisor’s day-to-day trading activities. She currently oversees the administrative operations of the firm, strategic business planning and product development and helps with investor relations. Mrs. Namath has over thirty years of practical experience both in trading commodity and financial futures markets and in financial portfolio investment management, in addition to investing in equity, bond, and foreign exchange markets. She began working with her father in the company since its inception in 1978 as Secretary-Treasurer, and then became Vice President in 1981 and President in 1987. While exercising her knowledge and experience derived from years of investing combined with her academic finance background, Mrs. Namath places a major emphasis on continually testing, refining, and potentially expanding her trading methodologies, trading markets, and risk management. <br><br> Mrs. Namath has been registered with the NFA as an Associated Person since September 7, 1983; she has been listed as a principal of District Capital Management, Inc. since September 24, 1980. Cathryn Namath graduated from the University of Maryland in 1977 with a B.A. in French. She completed an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University in 1982 and worked on her Ph.D. in International Finance at the same institution. Her doctoral thesis explored the inclusion of managed futures in an international investment portfolio of a global hedge fund or institutional investor using strict quantitative research methodologies.
