Founded in 2004 as Aisling Analytics, RCMA Capital LLP, is the investment manager of The Merchant Commodity Fund. The firm applies a fundamental approach to investing in commodity markets based on a detailed understanding of supply and demand dynamics and an extensive knowledge of the real world frictions, time lags, and systematic limitations in producing, transporting, and processing commodities. RCMA Capital LLP benefits from its position as the majority shareholder of the RCMA Group, a rapidly-growing commodities trading and supply chain management company employing over 240 staff through a network of 16 offices across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.

Commodity-focused global macro fund which employs a discretionary, fundamental approach combining bottom-up analysis and macro inputs. Detailed supply and demand analysis utilizing extensive real-time insight into the physical commodity markets. Not long-biased. The strategy can and does run net short when conditions dictate. Relative value trades are based on real physical linkages between commodities. Position limits are established per commodity, contract, and instrument to ensure a highly liquid portfolio. The fund primarily trades exchange cleared derivatives (futures, options, and swaps) ensuring a highly liquid portfolio.

RCMA Capital LLP is a private limited partnership established under the laws of England and Wales and is authorized and regulated by the FCA as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager. RCMA Capital LLP is also registered with the Commodities and Futures Trading Commission as a Commodity Pool Operator.
